Liz Coleman, LMT, MASE, LDT, is a manual lymphatic drainage therapist and oncology trained massage therapist who incorporates a variety of techniques and modalities in her private massage practice. She is a motivated and active learner who is continually expanding her expertise into new areas of practice. She won Teacher of the Year multiple years in her work as a transition special education teacher of young adults in the Alpine School District Special Education program. Liz currently teaches Lymphatic, Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Ethics & the Law, Ethics of Touch, Universal Standard Precautions, and Business Basics at our Orem campus.
Candice Covington is a certified aromatherapist and energy worker. She received her aromatherapy certification at the American College of Healthcare Sciences. A former instructor at Ashmead College (aromatherapy, ayurveda) and former primary aromatherapist and panchakarma therapist for the Chopra Center. Currently she teaches the philosophical aspects of Flower Flow Yoga, Vibrational Nutrition at Gladstone Community School Oregon and is the Co-founder of Mavens Mystery School and founder of Divine Archetypes. She has authored three books; Essential Oils in Spiritual Practice, Vibrational Nutrition, and Floral Absolutes: Aromatic Healing for the Physical, Emotional, and Energy Body.Candice teaches Energetic Anatomy and Career Development at our Orem campus.
Alishisa Devey, LMT, graduated from Healing Mountain in 2020. She is a certified sound therapist and maintains a growing private practice. She has a deep desire to help others and impact their personal growth while they embark on their healing journey. As a graduate of Healing Mountain Massage School herself, she is excited to share her passion and knowledge with students so that they too can contribute to making the world a healthier and more whole place. Alishia teaches Massage 1 & 2, Acupressure, Hydrotherapy, and Prenatal.
John Edwards, BS, graduated from Utah Valley University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He worked as a cost accountant, an accountant, and for the past several years as a charter school Business Manager. In John’s free time he enjoys being in nature with his family scuba diving, taking underwater photography, skiing, bicycling, hiking, and camping. John is the school accountant working out of the SLC campus.
Daniel Fisher, LMT, Reiki Master/Teacher, graduated from Healing Mountain in 2015. Daniel has been a Reiki Master/Teacher since 2000 and has completed continuing education in Craniosacral 1 through the Milne Institute, as well as CS1 & CS2 through Upledger. He currently teaches Craniosacral, Reiki, Massage 1 & 2, and the Communications class, and offers Reiki 1 & Reiki 2 Continuing Education courses. Daniel also oversees the student clinic and serves as the school’s Spa Director while sitting on the Orem campus’s Board of Directors.
Mimi Flower, LMT, is a 2009 graduate of Healing Mountain Massage School. After graduation, Mimi went on to train extensively in structural integration modalities including integrative neurosomatic therapy through Paul St. John in Florida. She currently teaches Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Kinesiology, and Massage Therapy 3 at the Orem campus.
Christi Galbraith, LMT, graduated from Healing Mountain in 2023 now owns her own private practice. With extensive experience in leadership, staff training, and project management, Christi has excelled in various roles, including Shift Supervisor at New Haven Residential Treatment Center and Assistant Studio Manager at Orangetheory Fitness. Fluent in Spanish and proficient in various software tools, Christi is committed to fostering development in both individuals and teams. Christi teaches Anatomy & Physiology and Kinesiology at the Orem campus.
Heather Johnson, LMT, graduating from UCMT in 2017, then became a certified foot zone practitioner after graduating from Sole Academy in 2014. She became passionate about working on the feet after she saw dramatic health improvements in a family member who suffered from a hormone imbalance until receiving regular footwork. She has taught at UCMT and Cortiva, and is currently teaching Reflexology at Healing Mountain in Orem. She also teaches yoga and Zumba and has a variety of hobbies including home improvement, traveling, playing the drums, and planning events.
Kimberly Jones, LMT, graduated with a 4.0 GPA from HMMS in 2023 where thereafter she promptly assumed a collaborative Teaching Assistant and Tutoring role to continue providing instructional guidance and support to future massage therapists. Kimberly is trained in Neurosomatic Therapy and has almost two decades of Customer Service, Supervisory, and Training experience—with several of those years in the Medical Field. She is passionate about continuing her massage journey through constant education and her commitment to mastering innovative approaches to pain management within the field of massage. Kimberly now teaches Medical Terminology, Pathology, and Kinesiology at our Orem Campus.
Jeremy Kellum, LMT, MBA, graduated from Healing Touch School of Massage Therapy in 2003. He got his Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012 and his Masters of Business Administration from Western Governors University in 2022. He specializes in connective tissue and injury-related massage. He has worked on rehabilitating professional and semi-professional athletes and has been a massage instructor, beginning in the state of Mississippi, since 2006. Jeremy is Healing Mountain’s school director and Board Chair on the SLC Board of Directors.
Grace Lansberry, LMT, graduated from the Rexburg College of Massage Therapy in 2018. Following that she proceeded to become a certified emotion code practitioner, shaman and certified hypnotherapist. She has worked with a variety of clients over the past several years, integrating energy work into her therapeutic massages. She is the assistant spa manager at our Orem campus and teaches Communications and Seated Chair massage there.
Nerissa McNeil, AS, graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in marriage and family services. She is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and loves seeing people flourish and pursue their dreams. When she isn’t working, Nerissa enjoys spending time with her husband and little girl at a lake or at the sand dunes. Nerissa is an admissions representative for the Orem campus.
Emma Mildenstein, LMT, Graduated in 2021 from Healing Mountain Massage School - Orem. She specializes in therapeutic massage using trigger point, craniosacral and lymphatic drainage. Emma also employs energy work into her massages. After graduating school, she has worked with a variety of clients including working with the athletes at BYU. She currently works as a massage therapist for Freedom Square Chiropractic and as an Assistant Spa Manager for the HMMS Orem Campus.
Aaron Nikola completed the Crystal Healing course at Healing Mountain Massage School in 2005. Since then, he has actively practiced Crystal Healing and Chakra Layouts. In 2006, he began incorporating his crystal healing expertise into the massage field by teaching and working with both clients and students. Aaron is also a silversmith who integrates healing crystals into his designs. In 2011, he became the manager of the Healing Mountain Crystal Shop. Aaron graduated from the school’s Massage Program in 2013 and became a faculty member at Healing Mountain Massage School in 2017. Furthermore, from 2018 - 2023, Aaron taught the Sound Healing course for Healing Mountain’s Holistic Health Practitioner program. He continues to practice Sound Healing privately, sharing his knowledge and passion for using sound as a healing modality.
Jesse Nikola, LMT, BFA, graduated from Healing Mountain in 2000 and furthered his education from Salt Lake Community College with an Associate of Visual Art and Design in Multimedia, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UVU in Graphic Communication. He worked as the SLC campus spa director for eight years and SLC campus director for seven years. He currently is the school’s president and chief executive officer.
RJ Nikola, LMT, JCD, BA, is the founder of Healing Mountain. He graduated from UCMT, has a JCD in education and a BA in education from BYU. He is the author of Japanese Full-Body Shiatsu and Creatures of Water. Randy served as a commissioner on the ABHES accrediting bureau from 2009-2017, served two terms on the Utah State Massage Board, and is currently a member of the Utah State Massage Therapy Education Peer Committee.
Char Olenik, LMT, graduated from UCMT in 1995 and has practiced massage therapy in various settings throughout Utah. She specializes in spa modalities, and has worked in many high-end resort spas, including the Remede Spa at St. Regis Deer Valley, Solitude Mountain Spa, and Brick Canvas Spa. Char has a passion for education and started teaching for UCMT in 2007, and became director of education for Cortiva Institute in 2014. She has served as a content specialist for the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), and served as a member of the Utah Massage Education Peer Review Committee. Char teaches Massage 1 & 2, Sports Massage, Career Development, Geriatric Health & Wellness, and Business & Professionalism at our Orem campus.
Brynnley Pyne, AS, LMT, graduated from Myotherapy in 1997 and has worked in a variety of settings since. She has a passion for prenatal massage, injury rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, and energy work. She previously worked as a regional recruiter and trainer for Massage Envy Utah, and attended many Program Advisory Committee meetings, class panels, and has been a guest speaker in many massage school classes. She also acted as the industry expert in Massage Envy’s Total Body Stretch, where she trained hundreds of LMTs during their roll out. She is dedicated to enhancing the well-being and education of all students in her current role as Orem campus director and board chair on the Orem Board of Directors.
Evan Smith, LMT, BS, graduated from Rexburg College of Massage Therapy in 2021 after earning his B.S in Exercise Physiology from BYU Idaho in 2017. He began his work in the field of health doing personal training and nutrition coaching at age 19. After deciding against attending Physical Therapy school, Evan toured Rexburg College of Massage Therapy and fell in love with massage therapy. He has worked in many different settings from chiropractics, medical spas, and luxury resorts. His true passion comes from helping others reach their maximum potential both through performance and corrective exercise as well as massage. He enjoys Jiu Jitsu, Muy Thai, as well as spending time in nature and pick up sports games. In his spare time he also teaches self defense and personal training. He is the Program Supervisor of the Orem Campus.
Julie Swenson, LMT, BS, graduated from BYU and later, Myotherapy College. She has worked in hospice doing massage therapy for terminal patients for the last 10 years. She is trained and experienced in craniosacral therapy. She is also certified as a Qigong practitioner. She is experienced in energy and emotional healing work, as well as essential oil use. She loves teaching and encouraging students to gain confidence in the healing arts. Julie teaches Craniosacral and Reflexology at our Orem campus.
Melissa Welter, BSBM, MBA, graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Melissa has previously worked for Utah College of Massage Therapy as a regional financial aid director and has been in the financial aid field for almost two decades. Melissa is our school Financial Aid Administrator.
