Wendy Edwards, LMT, graduated from Healing Mountain Massage School in 2007. She has done advanced training in Sports Massage, Myoskeletal Alignment, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Hydrotherapy and Reiki. She currently teaches Massage Therapy I, Massage Therapy III and Anatomy & Physiology at the Salt Lake Campus. Wendy also teaches Holistic Fitness & Geriatric Health & Wellness in the Holistic Health Practitioner program.
Rebecca Cooper, RYT-500, graduated in 2010 from Body Academy where she received her 500 hour certificate as a Yoga Instructor. Since 2010 Becca has continued to advance her training and in 2016 she completed her second advanced Ana Forrest training. She is a yoga ambassador for Jade Yoga and teaches yoga in the SLC area. Becca teaches our 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in the Holistic Health Practitioner program.
Rashelle Elliott, LMT graduated from Healing Mountain Massage School in early 2015 and has been teaching Basic Accounting at Healing Mountain since January 2016. Rashelle has ten years’ prior experience in sales, marketing, training, billing, bookkeeping and accounting. Rashelle teaches Accounting at Healing Mountains Salt Lake Campus.
Daniel Fisher, LMT graduated from Healing Mountain, Reiki Master/Teacher, certified in Craniosacral, Trigger Point Therapy and Deep Tissue massage. Daniel teaches the Reiki class for the Salt Lake Campus.
Stephanie Fredricksen, BA, LMT, Reiki Master graduated from Ashford University and Healing Mountain Massage School. She has advanced certifications in Reiki and received her BA in Complementary and Alternative Health. She has been practicing energy work and the natural healing arts for the past 8 years. She teaches Holistic Materia Medica and Introduction to Homeopathy in the Holistic Health Practitioner program.
Brenna Gardner, LMT, LME has several years’ experience in the resort town of Park City, Utah. She completed her training in the ASTECC program and began her focus in Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage and is also certified in the Vodder School for Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapy. Brenna teaches Lymph Drainage Massage at the SLC Campus.
Dustin Kennedy LMT has been a licensed Massage Therapist since 1997 after graduating from UCMT. He maintains a practice called the Whole Way House, incorporating a wide variety of modalities. He has enjoyed teaching and having the opportunity to share techniques and information for the last eighteen years. Dustin teaches Thai Yoga Massage and Craniosacral Therapy at our Salt Lake Campus. Dustin also teaches Ayurveda, Lomi Lomi & Integrative Massage in the Holistic Health Practitioner program.
Margie Leystra, LMT, CHT, Regression Therapist, Reiki Master and energy practitioner graduated from Awakening Spirit Massage School, Transpersonal Hypnotherapy Institute and Ravenheart Center. She has been involved in practicing healing arts for more than 20 years; expanding her practice to include traditional bodywork therapies, human energy field work, hypnotherapy and past life and between life regression therapies. Margie has been an instructor at Healing Mountain Massage School for 17 years and is currently teaching Reiki, Lymph Drainage Massage and Crystal Healing.
Katie Lienemann, LMT graduated from UCMT 2011. Katie has a passion for massage and bodywork and has advanced her knowledge in this area with her Yoga teacher training in April of 2015. She has experience in the spa setting as well as private practice. Katie teaches Craniosacral at Healing Mountain’s Salt Lake campus. Katie also assists teaching in the Yoga Practicum for our Holistic Health Practitioner program.
Angela Maggee, LMT, NCTMB, graduated from UCMT. She is a Registered Yoga Instructor and Certified Childbirth Educator specializing in the field of prenatal massage and pregnancy support. Angela is the Associate Director of Education at our Salt Lake Campus where she also teaches Massage I, Massage II, Prenatal Massage, Ethics and the Law, Licensure prep, Seated Massage and our L.R.C.’s. Angela also teaches Intro to Herbology & Perinatal Care in the Holistic Health Practitioner program.
Melissa Mills, BSBM, MBA, Graduated from University of Phoenix in 2011. Melissa has previously worked for Utah College of Massage Therapy as a Regional Financial Aid Director and has been in the financial aid field for over fifteen years. Melissa is our school Financial Aid Director.
Jeremy Miller, LMT, graduated from Healing Mountain. He currently practices and instructs in the SLC campus’ spa as the lead therapist. He has received advanced training in Sports Massage and currently teaches Sports Massage I & II and Hydrotherapy & Spa Techniques at the SLC campus.
Jesse Nikola, LMT, graduated from Healing Mountain, Salt Lake Community College with an Associate in Visual Art & Design, and a BFA from UVU in Graphic Communication. He worked as the SL Campus Spa Director for eight years and SLC Campus Director for three years. He currently is the schools Marketing and Art Director.
RJ Nikola, JCD, BA, LMT is the school director for Healing Mountain. He graduated from UCMT, has a JCD in Education and a BA from BYU. He is author of Japanese Full-Body Shiatsu and Creatures of Water being used at massage schools in the US & Canada. Randy serves currently as a commissioner for the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools – ABHES, and as a member of the Utah State Massage Board.
Lisa Padgen, LMT, graduated from UCMT in 1994 followed by nearly 17 years working in there Education department and later as the Executive/Personal Assistant to the President. Lisa worked at high-end spas for the past five years while maintaining a private practice. Lisa is our Spa Director for both campuses and also teaches the communications course at the SLC campus.
Elliot Person earned his Bachelors of Science in Accounting at BYU in 2003. Upon graduating, Elliot worked in finance in the insurance and mortgage industries until joining the US Army in 2007. The following year while serving as a Financial Specialist in the US Army Reserves, he took a position as the CFO of Uptown Bakers. While deployed in the Middle East in 2012, Elliot completed his MBA. Elliot is the school Accountant and teaches the Accounting course at the SLC campus.
Susan Sharp began her exploration of aromatherapy and essential oils nearly 20 years ago as the founding owner of a Salt Lake City boutique specializing in natural body care products. She has studied under renowned international aromatherapists throughout the years. She shares her enthusiasm and expertise with each graduating class - stressing the safety precautions of using essential oils with clients.
Alea Schmuker BS, LMT is a graduate of Healing Mountain Cedar City Campus and Southern Utah University in 2008. She earned her composite Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Sociology. She currently teaches the Thai Yoga massage course for the Salt Lake campus. Alea also teaches Advanced Thai Yoga Massage in our Holistic Health Practitioner program.
Benjamin Smith, LMT graduated from Healing Mountain Massage School with his Massage Therapy Certification in 2014 and has since pursued further education in a variety of massage therapy techniques such as Thai massage, Chi Nei Tsang, and Myofasical. Benjamin is on a constant journey to deepen his knowledge and promote better connection between the mind and body of those around him. Benjamin teaches Sports, Seated Chair Massage, Prenatal Massage and Massage III at our SLC Campus.
Angela Tacheny LMT, BS, graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a focus on trigger point therapy and has a private practice in Salt Lake City. Angie is a teacher for Massage I, Communications/Spa Orientation and Hydrotherapy. She was previously the Associate Spa Director and currently serves as the Campus Director and on the School Board of Directors at our SLC Campus.
Tiffany Taylor, LMT and NCBTMB, graduated from the Nevada School of Massage Therapy in 2002 and graduated from Southern Utah University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Human Performance. She teaches Massage III and Lymph Drainage Massage at Healing Mountain’s Southern Campus in Cedar City Utah.
Colleen Weathers graduated from California State University Northridge with a degree in Sociology. A field of study inpired by her passion for people's well-bing. Colleen is the Director of Admissions and Registrar for the Salt Lake and Cedar City campus's.
Chad Weiberg LMT graduated from UCMT in 2000. After graduating he went on to study advanced techniques in various modalities. He has been teaching and practicing massage therapy and bodywork for 16 years. Chad teaches Anatomy and Physiology, Hydrotherapy and Shiatsu at Healing Mountains Salt Lake Campus.
Blayne Wiley, LMT, attended the University of Utah where he studied English, Education and Theatre. Blayne has specialized in several modalities including Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupressure, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Pathology, Craniosacral Therapy and he is a certified Touch For Health Instructor. He taught at UCMT for 7 years and has had a private practice for 15 years. In 2007, Blayne started the Professional Massage & Bodywork program at Eagle Gate College and was the Program Director for almost 7 years. He is currently the Director of Education for the school and teaches Eastern Paradigm and Pathology. Blayne also teaches Fundamentals of Holistic Health & Touch for Health in our Holistic Health Practitioner program.
